How it works
Eight knots, tied in order
Matrimony has a sequence for a reason. Here is the whole journey — from the first private draft of your profile to two families meeting — and exactly where your privacy stands at every step.
Create your profile, privately
Tell us who you are and who you seek — faith, family, values, work, the life you want. You decide, field by field, what the world sees. Your full name, date of birth, phone number and family contacts go straight into your vault; they are never part of the public profile.
Free · takes about 15 minutes · nothing is published yet
Publish with real intent
Before your profile reaches an advisor, a yearly posting fee of $100 confirms real intent — it is why there are no throwaway profiles here. Alongside it, 3 people who know you vouch for your profile — at least one family, one outside the family — each attesting through their own private link for a token $1.
$100/yr · 3 references × $1
An advisor calls you
Before anything goes live, a real person speaks with you (or the parent or sibling managing the profile). The call covers three things: that you are who you say you are, that the profile reads true, and that you are genuinely looking — not browsing. It is a conversation, not an interrogation, and it is why every profile here carries weight.

Your profile goes live
Once approved, your profile appears in browse and in other members' matches — exactly as much of it as you chose to show. Photos honor your per-photo policy: public, connections-only, or on request. A veiled photo is a designed state here, not a gap.
You can edit, veil or pause your profile at any time
Express interest — or receive it
When a profile feels right, express interest. The other side sees it and decides in their own time. Declines are quiet — no alerts, no shame, no pressure. Interests are free and always will be, because saying "hello" should never be a transaction.
Free · unlimited · declines stay private
Both say yes — the thread ties
When interest is mutual, that is a match: two families that each chose the other. A private conversation opens right here on Matchmonster, so you can talk properly before any phone numbers change hands.
Chat is free after a mutual match
Contact details, on your terms
Phone numbers are never listed and never searchable. A contact card can be revealed only when all three conditions hold: the match is mutual, the owner has allowed sharing on match, and the requester spends a reveal. Either side can revoke sharing at any time — a reveal is a permission, not a purchase of your privacy.
Mutual match + owner consent + 10 credits
Meet the families
From here it moves the way it always has — calls between parents, a first meeting over tea, the questions that matter asked face to face. Take your time. If you would like help along the way, a verified matchmaker can broker introductions and sit alongside your family.
Advisors and matchmakers are a call away
Two-way matching
A match is only as strong as its weaker side
We always score both directions: how they fit what you seek, and how you fit what they seek. The overall number leans toward the weaker of the two — so a 90/40 pairing reads as the strained match it really is, not a flattering 65.
One-sided enthusiasm is where matrimony wastes the most time and the most heartache. We would rather show you fewer, truer numbers.
Four dimensions, weighted like real life
Core values weigh the most, then lifestyle, emotional life and growth — because marriages rarely fail over cuisine preferences.
Reasons in plain words
Every report explains itself: what genuinely aligns, and the two or three conversations worth having early.
Dealbreakers are respected absolutely
Anything either side marks non-negotiable gates the match entirely. No algorithm argues with your non-negotiables.
Computed only from what you chose to share
The engine reads public profile fields alone. Nothing in your vault is ever used for scoring.
What it costs
The search is free. A few reveals are not.
We will never charge you to say hello, and we will never sell your attention. Publishing your profile carries the yearly $100 posting fee; beyond that, credits meter only the moments that spend real trust or real visibility.
